Grand Old Parr Scotch 75cl is an old, classic blended Scotch whisky, Grand Old Parr is a lovely little dram – simple and unassuming. The blend is named after Thomas Parr, reputedly Britain’s oldest man, who was born in 1483 and died during 1635. The 152-year-old was buried in London’s Westminster Abbey and his name was first used in relation to a Scotch whisky brand in 1909. Malt, dried fruit, sherry, vanilla, cinnamon and Jaffa oranges on the nose. Full-bodied, with brown sugar, raisins, honey, cinnamon, caramel, and a suggestion of peat on the palate. Lengthy in the spicy finish, with more orange, cinnamon and mild peat.
